Decent Homes Network

Join us for the next session of the NHC’s new Decent Homes Network.

This network explores how the sector can prepare for the requirements of the newly announced Decent Homes Standard (DHS) and Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) which was updated by the government at the end of January to create a benchmark for social rented homes. The next session will look at recent engagement activity conducted by MHCLG with the sector about the implementation of the new DHS.

The group will be composed of colleagues across the sector, and members will be encouraged to bring their experience to contribute to discussion. The group aims to share best practice across the sector in the development of business practices in the years leading up to the implementation of new regulations, in areas such as asset management, repairs and maintenance and tenant engagement.

The network is a collaboration between the Northern Housing Consortium and NHC Procurement. A full agenda will be announced in due course.
