Tenant Voice Conference 2026
Tenant Voice Conference 2026: Innovation in Action
The Northern Housing Consortium and YD Consultants' Tenant Voice Conference returns for its 16th year, bringing together tenants, involvement officers and their colleagues in social housing to explore how innovation is strengthening resident influence across social housing.
This year's theme, Innovation in Action, will showcase practical examples of how tenants and landlords are working together to improve services, strengthen scrutiny, increase inclusion and create new opportunities for residents to shape decision-making. Through real-life case studies, delegates will discover fresh approaches that are delivering results for tenants and communities.
Hear from leading voices across the sector, including Kate Dodsworth, Deputy Chief Executive at the Regulator of Social Housing, Nici Hosfield, Head of Social Housing Resident Experience at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government alongside Dani Rawling, Senior Dispute Resolution Manager at the Housing Ombudsman Service.
This year's conference will feature organisations involved in the Social Housing Innovation Fund. This is a £2 million 12-month fund supporting new, tenant-led and co-produced approaches to strengthen resident voice, improve engagement with landlords and give tenants greater influence over decisions about their homes and services.
Sessions will be jointly led by tenants and staff, exploring topics such as tenant scrutiny, tackling social housing stigma, developing tenant leaders, promoting diversity and inclusion, bringing services closer to residents, and the role of tenant voice in shaping the future of the sector.
Who should attend?
This conference is primarily for tenants who are actively involved in scrutiny, resident engagement and shaping services with their landlord and colleagues responsible for engagement at all levels in landlord services.
We also welcome:
- Staff from housing associations, local authorities and ALMOs who support resident involvement.
- Board members, councillors and governors.
- Leaseholders and shared owners involved in engagement activities.
Whether you're an experienced tenant representative or just beginning your involvement journey, Tenant Voice 2026 offers the opportunity to learn from others, share experiences and discover new ways to make resident voices count.
Free for NHC and YD Consultants members and their tenants.
Please book tickets for your tenants by selecting tenant tickets and do not provide personal email addresses. Thank you.
